Sybil Smith
Sybil Smith is a producer from St. Louis. He was an intern at Shock City Studios in St. Louis, and assisted various artists such as: Dropkick Murphys, Yo Gotti, Wale, The Funky Butt Brass Band, Brian Owens, and This’l. Aside from those artists, he also produced and worked with some of his own artists while employed at the studio.
While in school he studied music theory, composition, marketing, and recording. His productions articulate a diverse background of genres ranging from dark grimy industrial all the way to classical baroque pieces.
Sybil’s music has been praised by the likes of AFI, Dope, Employed To Serve, The Biters, and Psyclon Nine. Coming from a punk rock background, his productions cast a darker shadow to music, and leaves listeners questioning and anxious for the next arsenal of sound.
More recently Sybil has teamed up with former Biter’s frontman, Tuk Smith, and released a number of acoustic covers. He has also collaborated on multiple songs with former bandmate and well known dubstep producer, JPhelpz, on a number of originals as well.
Sybil currently operates out of his own private studio, DiM Productions, as a producer, audio engineer, and composer.
